SoundCloud Buzzing Playlists

In order to boost artist discovery on the platform, SoundCloud has rolled out a new group of playlists focused on new music called Buzzing Playlists.

There are Buzzing Playlists for the genres pop, hip-hop, R&B, and electronic music, and they all feature tracks from artists who are part of SoundCloud’s Next Pro paid subscription program.

The platform looks at signals such as repeat plays, playlist adds, likes, comments, and reposts when adding tracks to the playlists, which are updated weekly.

Tracks featured in these playlists also have a chance of being highlighted further in SoundCloud charts or editorial playlists based on their performance.

The Buzzing Playlists provide a place on SoundCloud where listeners can discover new music based on what other fans are enjoying while artists gain exposure.
