YouTube Hype

YouTube’s Hype feature has been expanded globally, giving more fans a unique way to help their favourite emerging creators get noticed.

Viewers have the opportunity to hype up to three videos per week for a creator with under 500,000 subscribers.

When a video is hyped, it receives points, giving it a chance to end up on a new ranked leaderboard found in the Explore menu.

The fewer subscribers a creator has, the bigger the bonus Hype gives, helping authentic emerging voices get noticed.

A dedicated hype button is now right under a video, and a hype badge will appear on the video, making it easier to get noticed.
