Spotify Artist Profile Protection

Spotify for Artists has introduced Artist Profile Protection, a solution to the issue of music appearing on the wrong artist profiles.

When music that isn’t yours shows up on your profile, it can affect your catalog, your stats, and how fans discover your music.

Now in limited beta, Artist Profile Protection is an optional feature that adds a review step before releases go live on your profile.

If you enable this feature, you’ll receive an email notification whenever music is delivered to Spotify with your name attached.

This isn’t necessary for every artist, but could be useful if you’ve experienced repeated incorrect releases or have a common artist name.
