Beatport New Genre: Latin Electronic

Beatport has launched Latin Electronic as a new genre, designed to increase visibility for the artists and labels shaping that space.

Having this new genre will create more room for editorial support, chart presence, and global reach for these labels and artists.

This is a move that reflects the scale and influence of the LATAM electronic ecosystem, while pushing its next wave even further forward.

The genre launches with four core sub-genres under its umbrella: Tribal/Guaracha, Electronic Cumbia, Moombahton, and Raptor House.

Latin Electronic as a whole represents a modern, digitised evolution of its heritage, showcasing an ever-expanding spectrum of music.
