Spotify AI Transparency Feature in Beta

After sharing its initial approach to transparency last year, Spotify has launched a beta feature that allows artists to share how they’ve used AI in their music.

When AI use is disclosed, listeners will see credits for specific contributions like vocals, lyrics, or production in Song Credits.

As an artist, you’ll be able to disclose your AI use when you submit your music to us along with your metadata and cover art.

Spotify’s immediate goal is to give artists who use AI tools creatively a way to share that process with listeners.

Unfortunately, because this tool relies on disclosure, the absence of a credit doesn’t mean that AI wasn’t used.
