Spotify has introduced its new Verified by Spotify badge, as well as additional details about artist activity.

The Verified by Spotify badge shows an artist profile has been reviewed and meets the platform’s criteria for authenticity and trust.

Artists who receive this badge will need to be in good standing with Spotify’s platform policies and show signals of a real artist represented on the profile.

They will also need to have consistent listener activity and engagement over time, rather than one-time spikes in engagement.

The platform will combine these standards with human review and judgement to identify real artists acting in good faith.
