Whatsapp Usernames

WhatsApp is introducing usernames, providing more privacy for its users and eliminating the need to share phone numbers.

You can currently reserve a username to use later this year when the feature rolls out globally.

If you’re having trouble thinking of a username, WhatsApp has a username generator to help you find one.

If you want to maintain a consistent presence online, the platform has also introduced the option to claim your existing Instagram or Facebook username.

Once usernames are launched, your phone number will no longer appear when you message a person or business for the first time.
