Metricool YouTube Growth Report 2026

Social media management platform Metricool has just published a new report, revealing crucial data around how to better grow on YouTube. 

The good news for developing artists first: if their YouTube channel sits between 2k – 10k subscribers, it’s one of the channels with the highest likelihood of growth.

When it comes to long-form video, the ideal posting frequency is 2 to 4 posts per week. While no one expects artists to upload as much content as a YouTube creator, space out your uploads accordingly and consider creating derivative assets like trailers or translated lyric videos and content series that are easy to produce.

Something to be aware of: according to Metricool’s sample, over 61% of all organic views come from the Shorts feed, making the Shorts algorithm the dominant force in how content gets discovered on the platform today.
