Spotify AI Persona Badge

Spotify has announced another step in its effort to ensure transparency around the use of AI on the platform.

Starting in mid-September, you will begin to see an AI Persona badge attached to some artist profiles.

The badge signals to listeners that an artist’s identity may be AI-generated and does not represent a real person.

Alongside artist profiles that self-disclose as AI Personas, Spotify will also begin applying badges to relevant profiles.

By default, artists marked as AI Personas will not be included in any editorial or algorithmic recommendations.
