Apple Music AI Transparency

Apple Music has released a statement on what it’s doing to keep music fair on the platform in the age of AI.

Firstly, Apple Music has developed its own internal technology to identify AI-generated content in order to combat fraud, spam, and impersonation.

When it detects that the majority of plays on an AI-generated song are coming via stream manipulation, it is automatically removed from the platform.

In the near future, it will be a requirement for distributors to provide information about the AI-generated content they deliver.

This requirement includes any content where a material portion of the artwork, recording, composition, and/or music video has been created using AI.
