Bandcamp Default Pricing Update

Bandcamp has announced an update to the suggested default pricing for digital music on its platform.

The default price for albums has increased from $7 to $9, and for tracks it has increased from $1 to $1.50.

This update brings the platform’s defaults in line with updated industry standards for chart reporting eligibility.

On top of that, it also reflects what fans are already choosing to pay to support the artists they love, so no harm done. 

Bandcamp assures that you will still have full control over your prices and this is simply a shift to the default settings.
