To improve crediting accuracy and streamline royalty workflows, Bandcamp has introduced dedicated publishing rights fields.

These fields now appear on the track and album upload and editor pages, alongside updated resources to guide users through the process.

In the publishing rights fields, artists can add songwriter and composer names, publisher information, and the ISWC identifier.

Bandcamp’s Help Centre articles on publishing rights and music metadata have also been refreshed to offer more context and guidance.

The platform notes that it understands publishing rights and royalties can be complex, particularly when multiple contributors are involved.
