Chartmetric Trigger Cities Update

Five years after its initial launch, Chartmetric’s Trigger Cities series has been given an update with a whole new analysis report.

Trigger cities are cities whose large, enthusiastic populations of music streamers have become an important launchpad for artists globally.

The new report includes a map of the places Chartmetric has discovered to be the 30 key trigger cities around the world.

The cities which include Bagotá, São Paulo, Bangkok and more, are sorted into tiers, with Tier 1 being the most influential.

Using Spotify’s metrics, this information is based on analysing the biggest cities for artists who have broken globally in the last four years.
