Music Victoria’s Music Works Grant

Music Victoria has opened applications for the 2026 round of Music Works, a state government-funded program supporting contemporary music.

The program is designed to support artists, music workers, businesses, and organisations across Victoria.

It offers two funding streams: Activation Grants, worth a fixed $5,000, and Project Grants, ranging from $10,000 to $40,000.

Activation Grants require a less detailed application and can be used to support songwriting, composition, recording, marketing, touring, and professional development.

Project Grants are aimed at more strategic initiatives that deliver broader artistic, business, and sector-wide outcomes.
