There are no signup costs. We’ll tailor a distribution rate to your choice of standard or additional services.
Yes. Xelon labels and artists maintain full ownership of their music and master recordings.
At present we do not have the capacity to directly licence any of our sound recordings or music videos for public performance or transmission.
Given the legal and administrative costs involved with direct licensing we are unable to offer direct licenses at competitive rates. We will review our position every 12 months to consider whether the size and skill base of our organisation enables us to engage in direct licensing.
If you require a licence for the public performance or transmission of one of our sound recordings or music videos you should contact the Phonographic Performance Company of Australia (PPCA) at www.ppca.com.au
We ensure that those artists/labels who do the right thing and are not found to participate in Artificial Streaming will not be impacted by those that do.
For tracks that receive flagrant artificial streams, Spotify will be charging us with a fee. As a deterrent, we will be passing this fee on to the offending label with an additional administration fee to cover our cost of doing so and to help deter bad actors from mispractice.
Labels found to be participating in artificial streaming either directly or through a third party will immediately be placed under an internal review of all of their releases and potential cancellation of their distribution agreement.
