Spotify Listening Activity

Spotify is building on its Messages experience with two new interactive features: Listening Activity and Request to Jam.

Listening Activity is an opt-in feature that allows users to display what music they’re currently listening to in real time.

It’s visible only to friends you’re already connected with on Messages, and you can see other users’ activity too.

Request to Jam is a new way for users to invite friends they’re connected with in Messages to a live listening session.

The integration with Messages means users can now see when someone is already listening, join them, and even message while listening.
