Taite Music Prize 2025 Finalists

Independent Music NZ (IMNZ), alongside founding partner, Recorded Music NZ, has announced the 10 finalists for the Taite Music Prize 2025.

Three of these finalists are Xelon distributed artists – congratulations Georgia Lines, Delaney Davidson and Troy Kingi!

Now in its 16th year, the award remains a cornerstone of New Zealand’s independent music scene, recognising bold and boundary pushing albums.

From here, an independent panel of industry experts will deliberate and select the winning album which will secure a cash prize of $12,500.

This main prize award will be presented on April 15th, at the Q Theatre, Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland alongside a number of other awards.
