YouTube Live Stream Jewels Expansion

YouTube is expanding access to its live-stream Jewels, the donation option which first launched back in 2024.

Jewels are an in-app currency that enables live-stream viewers to purchase digital stickers that they can apply during a live stream.

A percentage of each sticker purchase price is then allocated to the streamer, providing a fun way for creators to earn revenue.

Originally only available for live-stream creators in the US, Jewels are now available for creators in Canada as well.

YouTube says the broader rollout is part of its ongoing effort to give creators more tools to monetise their content in real time.
