YouTube Music’s AI Labels

YouTube Music has become the latest platform to roll out labels for songs that were created primarily using AI.

These new labels cover songs where generative AI was used to create the composition or vocals, and will be expanded to the main YouTube app.

When you listen to a track on YouTube Music where AI played a significant role, you’ll see a label directly on the player page.

Tapping the label opens a simple menu that provides more information on how AI involvement was identified in the track.

The platform is both partnering with music industry partners and using its own detection tools to identify AI-generated tracks.
