YouTube Shorts Music Duration

YouTube has announced two updates related to Shorts and how music is displayed on the platform.

Firstly, Official Artist Channels can now upload longer Shorts, with videos now able to run for up to three minutes.

This update gives artists and users more flexibility to share extended content without leaving the Shorts feed.

Secondly, the maximum duration of music featured in Shorts from the Shorts library has been increased to 90 seconds.

This change allows both artists and users to feature more music in their Shorts, depending on agreements with music rights holders.
